Breaking: Jamie Muscato and Frances Mayli McCann to star in The Great Gatsby
The West End stars will lead the much-anticipated London transfer
Producer Chunsoo Shin is thrilled to announce Jamie Muscato and Frances Mayli McCann will lead the West End production of the smash hit new musical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s landmark novel The Great Gatsby, in the roles of Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan respectively.
Performances will begin on Friday 11 April 2025 at The London Coliseum, where the show will play a strictly limited engagement until Sunday 7 September 2025.
Jamie Muscato is currently starring as Anatole in Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 (Donmar Warehouse). His other theatre credits include Christian in Moulin Rouge! (Piccadilly Theatre), Once (London Palladium); Les Misérables The Staged Concert (Sondheim Theatre); West Side Story (Leicester Curve); Heathers (Theatre Royal Haymarket/ The Other Palace); Big Fish (The Other Palace); Lazarus (Kings Cross Theatre); A Subject of Scandal and Concern (Finborough Theatre); Stay Awake Jake (The Vaults); Bend it Like Beckham (Phoenix Theatre); Sweeney Todd (Welsh National Opera); House of Mirrors and Hearts (Arcola Theatre); Dogfight (Southwark Playhouse); The Light Princess (National Theatre); Rock of Ages (Shaftesbury Theatre); Love Story (Duchess Theatre); Les Misérables (25 Anniversary tour) and Spring Awakening (Novello/ Lyric Hammersmith).
Frances Mayli McCann is best known for leading Bonnie and Clyde in the West End as Bonnie (WhatsOnStage Nominee for Best Performer) following its sell out concert at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, opposite Jeremy Jordan. Her other theatre credits include Our Ladies Of Perpetual Succour (Olivier Winner Best New Comedy and Olivier nominated Best Supporting Actress); Death Note (London Palladium); Peter Pan (London Palladium); Chess (Theatre Royal Drury Lane); Heathers The Musical (Theatre Royal Haymarket); Les Misérables (UK Tour); Evita (Regent’s Park), Macbeth, The Great Wave and Here Lies Love (National Theatre).
